Frequently Asked Questions
How do I develop a photo?
Open the Lab tab, select a photo from your library, pick a film stock, and tap Develop. Watch the developing animation, then save to Photos or the in-app Lightbox.
What's included in the free version?
Three starter film stocks: Kodak Gold 200, Kodak Tri-X 400, and Fujifilm Disposable 400. All core features are free including adjustments, Lightbox, and the Science tab.
How do I unlock more stocks?
Tap any locked stock to see details and purchase it individually for $0.99. Or get the Full Lab bundle for $4.99 to unlock all 12 stocks plus any stocks we add in future updates.
I bought a stock but it's still locked.
Go to the Stocks tab, scroll down, and tap "Restore Purchases". If the problem persists, email us with your order number from Apple.
Why is Polaroid 600 cropping my photos?
Polaroid 600 shoots square format in real life. Before developing, you'll see a crop tool to frame your photo as a square, just like a real Polaroid.
Can I use Film Lab 35 offline?
Yes. All photo processing happens on your device. You only need an internet connection for the initial download and in-app purchases.
Will you add more film stocks?
Yes. If you bought the Full Lab bundle, you'll get any new stocks for free. Individual stock purchases do not include future additions.
Do you collect my data?
No. Film Lab 35 runs entirely on your device. We do not collect photos, usage analytics, or any personal information. See our privacy policy for details.
